My Notes:

Morning lifted the night
And dawn spilled a colorful dream.
I awoke to sparkling stars
Reflecting the sun’s gleam;
The lake is shining!

Clop, clop, clop -- clippity, clop . . .
The mail carriage delivers and moves by.
Smile -- smile big!
What a lovely glimpse of times past.

I have time to enjoy this journey;
Yes, a morning stroll to breakfast.
I breathe in -- a fragrant memory.
I breathe deep -- the essence of the morning.
Only moments new
This day is truly wonder-ful!

We worked hard at conference today. I found my ending to an early grade chapter book in Donna Jo Napoli’s workshop. I found I need to learn more and refine my craft. I found many good examples. I found Butterfly House on afternoon break. I enjoyed my writer friends from sun-up to sun-down. The day was good!
